What does it say about Western attitudes toward India that this video appears in Reuters’ ‘Oddly Enough’ section?

Kailesh Giri Brahamchari, 39,  has been carrying his aged, blind mother on his shoulders on an all-India pilgrimage for the last 13 years. He subsists on the generosity of strangers along the way. Imagine what a memoir of such a journey would read like.
