A UN report says that hunger is at a 40 year high in South Asia due to food, fuel prices and the global economic crisis. Some 100 million people more than the past two years are going hungry.

Do you have a great vocabulary? Or would like to get one? Then here’s a novel way to feed the hungry and do both. Freerice.com is a non-profit website run by the United Nations World Food Program in partnership with the Berkman Center for Internet & Society at Harvard University. For each answer you get right, they donate 10 grains of rice to the United Nations World Food Program. Since 2007 the program has handed out 65,090,581,480 grains of rice!

It’s fun and seriously addictive!
