Bigotry alive and well…for Christian Dalits

Converting to Christianity was supposed to bring them equality. But hundreds of Dalit Christians in Eraiyur, India, continue to face discrimination from their fellow Christians. They are not allowed to use the main street to visit the parish, but must use a side road. As in life, casteism follows them in death – Dalit Christians are buried in ground beyond the village, and not the cemetery attached to the Vanniyar Parish.(BBC)
