In a world full of despair, YHL readers can be rest assured that we work hard to find optimistic, positive stories of hope and dreams.  This morning we bring you the story of YUWA founded by Frank Gastler.

After completing degrees at Boston University and Harvard, Gastler found himself living and working as an English instructor in rural India. “I noticed in the villages the girls were always hard at work, and the boys were always playing,” Gastler said. “I kept thinking, ‘What can we do to really go after these kids I met who were so talented?” And so was born YUWA, whose mission is to promote a youth-driven approach to rural community advancement using leadership, scholarship and teamwork (Full story at MN Sun)

Today Team YUWA is running the Chicago Marathon to raise funds, and you can help here.
