Yeh Hai Life!

The World Should Be a Subway-car!

In India, People Making A Difference on December 17, 2009 at 10:08 am

Every day I ride the New York City subway, and after 12 years of doing so, nothing should come as a surprise.  Yet this morning, I saw an Orthodox Jew, a black man, a Hindu, a Latina woman, and a Chinese man, all sitting next to each other.  The heritage each one of them and their families have, from background, to religion, to all kinds of differences, including the color of their skin…and yet they sat there, in peace.

Why can’t the world be this subway-car?  We’re all in the same car on the same subway, so let’s enjoy this ride together!  Oh, and before you get off the next stop, do look around yourselves and clean up, so that the next person will find a clean world, I mean, car. 🙂
